SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND BY MARSHA BURNS: 

Hold your plans loosely so that when things are not as you thought they would be, you will not suffer disappointment. I want you to flow with the moving of My Spirit, says the Lord and not according to your own thoughts and desires. This is a time of heightened spiritual awareness if you can rise above earthy concerns. 

Ephesians 5:14-16  Therefore he says, Arise, O sleeping one and rise up from the dead! and the Christ shall shine upon you. Take heed then how exactly you walk! not as unwise, but as wise, buying back the time, for the days are wicked.  

December 16, 2023. Fret and worry, fret and worry. I see so many fretting and worrying over what might come. I say, stay current. Don’t project into the future the “what ifs”. Today has enough trouble of its own. Stay current with issues and don’t step over into “vain imaginations”. You say “How do I do that?” Simply when a speculation comes, make your mind to change direction – think on the good…lovely…truthful things. If not, you’ll make yourself sick!

2 Corinthians 10:5 “We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,”

December 16, 2023. Pay close attention to the words that I say to you. Listen, follow My exact instructions. If you do, I will direct you down a path that leads to My blessing. Pitfalls await you when you choose to ignore or disobey My Word. I want to cover, protect and provide for you, but if you move out from under My wing you have opened yourself up for defeat. Stay under My wing and in the protection it provides.

Joshua 7:3-5 “They returned to Joshua and said to him, ‘Do not let all the people go up; only about two or three thousand men need go up to Ai; do not make all the people toil up there, for they are few.’ So about three thousand men from the people went up there, but they fled from the men of Ai. The men of Ai struck down about thirty-six of their men and pursued them from the gate as far as Shebarim and struck them down on the descent, so the hearts of the people melted and became as water.” Jonas Bohlin

This is a time to simplify your life. Revamp, update and put things in order. Otherwise, the complexities of existence can overwhelm you. Do this in preparation for a new year and new beginnings. 

Isaiah 43:18-19 “Do not remember the first things and the ancient things do not reckon together! Behold, I do new things which now shall arise and you all shall know them. And I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the waterless place.”

December 15, 2023. Did you know that all the world is worshipping My Son in this season? Many do not even realize when they light a candle or put lights on the tree that they are celebrating the Light of the World. Whether you celebrate the “Festival of Lights” (Hanukkah) or “Christmas” (Christianity’s celebration of Jesus’ birth) you are filling your homes with My Light. Rejoice and be Merry during this season! May the CHRIST child be an ever reminder to you!

John 8:12 “Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, ‘I am the Light of the world. He that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”Robin Robinson Bohlin

December 15, 2023. Fire in the natural can bring much devastation. A single spark can destroy thousands of acres. The Lord showed me that many have been in the fire for what seems like forever. The Father says, “I have been refining you, I am bringing you to the purest part of the you that I’ve called you to be, which will reveal your spiritual identity. Allow Me to melt and mold you into how I see you. You will arise stronger and wiser. You will shine for Me.”

Philippians 2:12-15 “So that, my beloved, as at all times you obeyed, not as at my arrival only, but now much rather in my absence, with fear and trembling work out your own deliverance!  For God is the one operating in you both to want and to operate for the good-pleasure. Do all things without grumblings and arguings! that you should become blameless and unmixed, children of God, without blemish, in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you appear as luminaries in the world,”  Pam Jackson

You are in a countdown to breakthrough. Every day takes you one step closer to a new beginning. I will open your eyes to see what you have overlooked and it will be like going from night to day when you suddenly have the revelation of what I am doing in your life. Take this time of preparation to draw closer to Me, says the Lord. 

Isaiah 42:9 The things from the beginning, behold, they have come and the new things which I shall announce, even before the announcing, it was made manifest to you.

December 14, 2023. I see people toiling in the sun, hoes in hand, working. Work was created by Me. I created Adam and he tended/worked the garden. While work is good, trusting Me for your provision is even better! I gave you all the abilities to work when I created you but don’t get caught up in that. Believe Me for greater provision. I will open up the windows of Heaven and pour out blessings when you follow My instructions.

Genesis 2:15 “And the LORD God took the man whom He shaped and put him in the paradise to work it and to guard.”

Malachi 3:10 “The year is completed and you carried in all the resources into the storehouses and there will be the ravaging in your houses. Restore indeed in this, says the LORD Almighty! And see if I should not open to you the torrents of the heaven and pour out to you My blessing until it is enough.” Robin Robinson Bohlin

December 14, 2023. What is the most important thing in life? Great question, but hard to pick one thing, right? WE all know having a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is probably a good answer. However, we all know there are many important things and most things in life should have a certain priority of importance. I hear the SPIRIT of GOD say, “I can help you with that priority list. Everything should be in order. Ask HOLY SPIRIT to give you the correct priority.” FYI: wise counsel is important, but remember not everyone should have the same priorities, so you and I need to hear from GOD the HOLY SPIRIT!

John 16:13 “But when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on His own; but whatever He hears, He will tell you. And He will declare to you the things that are to come.”Budd Rodgers

I seek those who have a charitable heart to do My bidding, says the Lord. I want you to be My hands and My feet to do all that I send you to do. Let there be no hesitation or regret. Walk in the belief that I am leading you in the path of righteousness, to carry out My will. 

Matthew 6:1-4 Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

December 13, 2023. You cannot even imagine all that I have prepared for you, lovers! You think you can imagine the blessings coming but your natural mind can’t think that big. I want you to know this today that blessings will come so fast it will make your mind spin. Keep loving Me and watch your life expand with My bounty, so many blessings that you might not be able to count them all. Prepare yourself lovers – here it comes!

December 13, 2023. I say to you, stop carrying burdens you aren’t called to carry. Cast your cares on Me. I care about everything you care about. I care about them even more than you do. Cast them on Me, give them to Me. I will take care of them on your behalf. I love you with an everlasting love. You are My son, My daughter. Lean into Me, rely on Me. I AM always here for you.

I have a plan and a purpose for your life, but you need to be quiet and listen for My still small voice. There are things I want you to consider before you move into this new season. I am with you to show you the way to victory, says the Lord. 

1 Kings 19:11-12 Then He said, Go out and stand on the mountain before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a fine breeze — there was the LORD.

December 12, 2023. This word is for My listening ones. Sit up straight and pay attention. I am giving you direction for the future. My whole world is in a spirit of unrest. All of this has to do with My chosen people and the threats and attacks happening. Know that the days ahead will need to be approached with caution. I have stationed you on the wall to be watchers. I need My listening ones to pay careful attention in the next few days. I will show you what is to come.

December 12, 2023. Except for a few donkey rides and boat trips, Jesus went everywhere by walking. I heard the Lord say we need to walk out our belief. Our daily walk gets us further down the road of life than we think. Sure, there are times when we need to sit or lie down. Those are the times of restoration and refreshing, but eventually to get where you’re going, you must walk. Maybe someone will carry you but realize that is not a realistic expectation. Walk it out today. Keep your eyes focused ahead and your mind fixed on Jesus!

Colossians 2:6-10 “Therefore as you received Messiah Yeshua as Lord, so continue to walk in Him— rooted and built up in Him and established in your belief just as you were taught, overflowing with thankfulness. See that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men and the basic principles of the world rather than Messiah. Take every opportunity to be kind, loving and generous. There is much evil, deception and hatred in the world, but you do not have to be part of it. Rise above what you see and hear to exhibit My character and nature, says the Lord. Remember that you reap what you sow. 

Galatians 6:7-9 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

December 11, 2023. Don’t let stress or inner anxiety change you. Yes, I know that it’s normal to feel stress in a stressful situation, but I want you to A) Take a deep breath B) Focus on Me, the author and finisher of your faith C) Have hope for change D) Know that I will cause all things to work together for your good. When you do all four of these, stress and internal anxiety will simply vanish!

December 11, 2023. I see that you have concerned yourself with issues that do not need to steal your attention and focus. Our enemy, the devil, would like for you to expend physical and spiritual energy on things that have little or no bearing on what I am telling you and showing you. Do not worry about what someone else is doing or saying, but go look in the mirror and look at the only person you can change.

Matthew 7:3-4 “Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye’ and behold, the log is in your own eye?” Jonas Bohlin

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this eon, but be transformed in the renewal of your mind, in the trying of yourselves, in what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God!

WHY I ALLOW MY CHILDREN TO GO THROUGH TESTS

The Father says: 
“I allow My Children to go through tests because man’s natural tendency is to believe that what they SEE is more real than what they cannot see. The opposite is true. Everything you see around you will be gone a billion years from now. But Spirit, which is INVISIBLE, will REMAIN forever.
 
I am Spirit and I remain forever. You and other people are Spirit and will remain forever, somewhere, as well. My Word is also Spirit (John 6:63) and My Word remains forever.
 
My Word is INFINITELY MORE REAL than ANYTHING you see with your eyes, because My Word created everything that you see with your eyes.
 
Job 9:8 “The One stretching the heaven alone and walking upon the sea as upon a floor.”

Jesus walked on this promise when He walked on the water. He could do this because this promise in My Word is INFINITELY MORE REAL than the water He walked on. This Promise in My Word is infinitely more solid, sturdy and reliable than ANYTHING in ALL Creation, because My Word created All Creation.
 
So If you STAND on My Word, nothing IN ALL CREATION can move you. My Promises, which ARE MY WORD, are settled FOREVER in Heaven.
 
My Promises to you are INFINITELY MORE RELIABLE than what your eyes tell you. So you can STAND ON THEM and your heart can be forever settled on the matter.  

This is why I allow trials to come. I am training you to rule and reign. AS you learn to rely on what My Word says, on what My Spirit says ALONE and not on what your eyes and other senses say, you become the type of Leader My Son Jesus is.
 
Isaiah 11:2-4
“And Spirit of the LORD will be caused to rest upon him; a Spirit of wisdom and understanding; a Spirit of counsel and strength; a Spirit of knowledge and piety; a Spirit of the fear of God shall fill him up. He shall not judge according to the glory of man, nor shall He reprove according to the speech. But He shall judge the case  of the lowly and shall reprove for the lowly of the earth. And He shall strike the earth by the Word of His mouth; and by the breath through His lips He shall do away with the impious.”

When you learn to TRUST in My Word, I will in turn trust you with levels of My Anointing that you cannot comprehend right now. I will cause your life to glorify My Son. And through you, I will shake the world.”

Forgiveness is the order of the day. Yes, you have been wounded by words and actions of others, but the self-pity and bitterness will devour your soul and cut you off from the sweetness of relationship with Me, says the Lord. You can do nothing about what has transpired, but you can proceed with the relief and cleansing that is the result of letting go. 

Ephesians 4:30-32 And do not fret the Holy Spirit of God, in which you were sealed for the day of release by ransom! All bitterness and rage and anger and roaring and blasphemy take away from you with all evil! And be gracious, compassionate, to one another, granting to each other, as also God granted to us in Christ!

December 9, 2023. In my spirit’s eye, I see someone twirling and twirling! The Lord says, “Yes! This is My desire! That you be filled up with so much delight that in order to function properly you have to TWIRL!” Oh the true desire of a good Father is to see His children behaving well and full of joy. “My children, in My presence is the Fullness of Joy. Choose today to be consumed by Me and TWIRL!”

Romans 15:13 “Now may God, the fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in Him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with His super-abundance until you radiate with hope!” Robin Robinson Bohlin

December 9, 2023. I call you My friend. I sent My Son to the earth in order to restore relationship with YOU! Do you not understand that My greatest desire is for you to love Me and worship Me? Allow Me to be the object of your attention. Believe that you are My chosen. You, as one who allowed My Spirit to indwell you, having been grafted into the seed of Abraham with ALL of the blessings that are his.

Romans 11:17-18 “But if some of the branches were broken off and you being a wild olive tree were engrafted in them and became fellow-partakers of the root and the fatness of the olive tree, glory not over the branches! But if you gloried over them, know that you do not bear the root, but the root bears you.” Jonas Bohlin

You have had to endure some setbacks and disappointments, but I remind you that all things work together for good in the long run. Do not settle yourself in the mode of defeat, but learn from the past and move forward with resolution to not make the same mistakes. Remember that you can ask for wisdom, says the Lord. 

Romans 8:28 But we know that all things work together for good to the ones loving God, to the ones who are being called according to His purpose.

December 8, 2023. You say, “Can I trust my heart?” I say, “Yes, child, if you are walking in My ways and steering yourself from unrighteousness.” I want you to be full of confidence and never wavering. Listen to My guidance and counsel. Tune your ears to hear Me as I speak to your heart. You no longer have a hardened heart, you have a soft, pliable, listening heart. Go ahead and do whatever I have put in your heart to do.

Ezekiel 36:26 “Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

2 Corinthians 3:3 “You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”  Robin Robinson Bohlin

December 8, 2023. The world tells us happiness is found doing whatever feels good, so do what makes you happy. The Lord says today, “Stop being a pleasure seeker. Everything you need is found in Me. When you know Me, you will find all the pleasure you need. Your feelings will lie to you so do not give into what feels good. Do not pursue the things of the flesh. Come into My presence, come into My joy, allow Me to give you the happiness you are so desperately seeking.”

Romans 12:2 “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what He wants from you and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” Pam Jackson

Settle yourself and take control of your wandering mind. Focus your attention on what is instead of what might be. Otherwise, you will waste time on things that will never happen. Live each moment in the confidence that I am as close as your breath and all you have to do is ask what you will and I will answer, says the Lord. 

Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

December 7, 2023. Do you not know or have you not heard it – that I will give you the desires of your heart? When you earnestly seek Me, the greater things will come. Then why do you continue to confess your lack, or think on the lesser things? Set your mind on following, pursuing, chasing after Me and watch your world change. I am the prize and you will be the winner!

December 7, 2023. 90 years and 9 months ago as of yesterday’s date, the President of the United States of America said these words, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself – nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyses needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.” I heard the Lord say very clearly, “Do not FEAR for I AM with you.” If you are in fear today, then you have NOT obeyed God. He says, “Do not fear.” Regardless of where you are walking, be it the “shadow of death” or some other imposing giant in your life, ALWAYS acknowledge the presence of God, so fear can leave you. 

Psalm 23:4 “For if even I should go in the midst of the shadow of death, I shall not be afraid of evils, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

Psalm 56:3-4 “I do not fear the day and I shall hope upon You. In God I will praise by my words. Upon God I hoped. I shall not fear what flesh shall do to me.” Budd Rodgers

Refuse to allow these hectic times to keep you from doing your best. Conditions can be daunting, but you can access supernatural endurance to overcome every obstacle. I am your very present help in times of trouble, says the Lord. Believe it and receive it. 

Psalm 46:1-5 Our God is a refuge and power; a helper in afflictions, to the ones exceedingly having found us. On account of this we shall not fear when the earth is disturbed and mountains are transposed in the hearts of seas. Their waters sounded and were disturbed; the mountains were disturbed by His force. The rapid movements of the river gladdens the city of God. The highest sanctified His tent. God is in the midst of her and she shall not be shaken. God shall help her towards morning by morning.

December 6, 2023. What price are you willing to pay to follow Me? Are you willing to give up your reputation, are you willing to look foolish to the world? My son endured scorn and ridicule, are you willing to do that? For it is the foolish of the world who will confound the wise. You can either fit in with the world or stand out for Me. Are you willing to be foolish for Me?

1 Corinthians 1:27 “Instead, God has deliberately chosen to use ideas the world considers foolish and of little worth in order to shame those people considered by the world as wise and great. And the weak of the world God chose, that the strong should be disgraced.” Robin Robinson Bohlin

December 6, 2023. Allow Me to prosper your soul. As your soul prospers, so will you. I AM is here to heal your soul. Let Me into the very depths of your soul, into the secret places. I AM your Daddy God who loves you and cares for you in ways no one else can. Trust Me, My child. I have far more for you than you have asked for or even dreamed of. Let Me heal your soul.

When you get overwhelmed, dumping down into self-pity does not help. You need to be quiet and calm your inner turmoil. Be pragmatic instead of entertaining theoretical considerations. Maintain sensibility as you consider your options and stay present with Me, says the Lord. 

Isaiah 30:15a For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.

December 5, 2023. How can life be this good, you say? Enjoy this time of euphoria. Don’t be expecting things to go badly. When you have joy, you are really entering into My Kingdom. Jesus endured the cross with joy, knowing the final result. Even in the midst of bad you can CHOOSE to set your mind on good and disregard the negative. Try it, I think you’ll like it.

Hebrews 12:2 “looking to Jesus the head and perfection of the belief Who, instead of the joy being situated before Him, endured the cross, disdaining the shame and at the right of the throne of God has sat.”  Robin Robinson Bohlin

December 5, 2023. I heard the Lord say, “Take care of business. Do not let your business be unfinished or go undone.” The Lord has given us victory over the evil one. Yet we must individually appropriate those victories in our lives through His Word and by His Spirit. As the Ecclesia of God, we are to prevail against the gates of hell. Gates are defensive, but the church (Ecclesia) is on the offensive. Don’t wait around for the devil to attack you. You take the fight to him until he “flees” from you.

Psalm 18:32,34,37- 42 “God is the one girding me with power and makes my way unblemished; teaching my hands for war; and You made my arms as the bow of brass; I shall pursue my enemies and overtake them; and I will not return until whenever they should cease. I shall squeeze them and in no way should they be able to stand; they shall fall under my feet. And you girded me in power for war; you bound hand and foot all the ones rising up against me underneath me. And You gave to me the back of my enemies; and the ones detesting me you utterly destroyed. They cried out to the LORD and there was no one delivering and He did not hear them. The corrections that you made in your life will serve you well in the days ahead. It might have been stressful, but you will not regret it. The hardest part is over and you can forge ahead with greater confidence and strength, says the Lord.

Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

December 4, 2023. Did you know that you can train yourself not to react quickly? By exercising the gift of self-control, things won’t blurt out of your mouth uncontrollably. You have been used to responding to people and sometimes it’s with a negative attitude. The old adage “count to ten” before responding has wisdom in it. Pause before you speak, check your attitude. You will not be controlled by your emotions unless you allow it.

James 1:19-20 “Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters! Let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger. For human anger does not produce God’s righteousness.”

Hebrews 5:14 “But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.” Robin Robinson Bohlin

December 4, 2023. Many around you have forgotten Me. They have forgotten that My ways are pure. Living in accordance with My Word opens the door to allow Me to intervene on your behalf. I open the windows of heaven to those who trust Me enough to surrender everything to Me. I Am that I Am. I will never leave you and I will never disappoint you. Open the door and allow Me to demonstrate My power and love for you!

Isaiah 45:8 “Let the heaven above be glad and let the clouds sprinkle righteousness! Let the earth arise and burst forth mercy! And let righteousness burst forth together! I am the LORD, the One creating you.” Jonas Bohlin

Even though darkness is increasing on earth, My glory shall rest upon those who are Mine, says the Lord. You shall begin to shine forth in My kingdom, so be filled with joy. It is the season to do so. 

Isaiah 60:1-2 Be enlightened! Be enlightened, O Jerusalem! for your light is come and the glory of the LORD has  risen upon you. Behold, darkness shall cover the earth and a dimness upon nations; but the LORD shall appear upon you and His glory shall be seen upon you.

Cast down every thought that rises up to bring you into condemnation and then position yourself under the protection and strength of spiritual truth. Those thoughts against yourself are counterproductive to your spiritual growth and well being. If there is truly a need to repent do so, but do not allow yourself to get stuck in things of the past.

I WANT YOU TO NO LONGER LOOK AT WORDS THE WAY MAN LOOKS AT WORDS

The Father says:
 
“I want you to no longer look at words the way man looks at words. Words are MORE REAL than anything you see with your eyes, because WORDS created everything you see with your eyes.
 
Words change what is seen. Words bring things into being, making what is invisible in Heaven visible on earth.
 
Words are your servants. Every word you speak goes to work doing SOMETHING, because every word you speak causes your spirit to start believing for SOMETHING.
 
Your words instruct your heart what to believe. If you say the enemy’s words, your heart will start believing for what the enemy wants to appear in your life. If you say MY WORDS, your heart will start believing what I want to be visible in your life. My people need to put the same value on words that I place on them. Your words need to be different than the world’s words. You should always say what you want to appear in your life, or in other people’s lives.
 
The main purpose of renewing your mind is to cause you to renew your speech. You renew your speech as you say My Words aloud, because what you say aloud lives in your heart and out of the abundance of your heart your mouth speaks. So the Words that live in your heart determine what you see in your life.
 
I want you to see the blessings My Son purchased for you on the Cross. I want you to walk in the fullness of what it means to be My Son. So I want you to change how you think about words.”
